I’ve been working away on my Sampler Table Runner and should have it completed by later tomorrow. I sure hope so anyway because it’s my April ALYofF Goal and at midnight tomorrow I run out of April!
I have finished quilting the Sampler blocks using my walking foot and now it’s time to drop the feed dogs and practice fmqing leaves in the sashing. There are only seven sections so I should be able to do that this afternoon and start burying threads this evening. I might even manage to get the binding on tonight, so it can be washed and dried to remove any quilt lines I’ve drawn.
Dave and I are also working on a couple of fun projects that I’ll be featuring on the blog in the next week or two. I thought I’d give you a bit of a sneak peek by showing you some of the thrift store finds that we’ll be using to make them.
As well, anyone who’s been reading my blog for a while knows that I love ladybugs. When we were at Dollarama yesterday, I spied this wood plaque.
I can only imagine what the other people in the aisle were thinking as Dave and I stood there discussing how to paint it and what to turn it into. And then Dave saying… “You’re going to tell everyone on the blog that part was my idea. Aren’t you?” To which I replied, “It was your idea! So of course, I am.” 🙂
So look for some fun, easy projects to appear soon.
Oh and if you haven’t had a chance to check out the different blogs who have linked up to Monday’s Stitchery Link Party, please take a few moment to click through and be inspired!

April 29, 2015 4:47 pm‘Running out of April’ – love it!! Anxious to see what creations you have planned, especially with that wonderful wooden bowl I see in the photo. I love little wooden bowls because my dad used to make them.
