I’m almost embarrassed to admit that even though my Disappearing Nine Patch quilt was my goal in both July and August for A Lovely Year of Finishes, it’s still not done. I’m not giving up on finishing it but I am choosing a different goal for September.
After taking the summer off, the London’s Writer’s Society will be meeting again on September 17th and I would really like to have a new writing tote finished to take with me.
I’ll be using this oh so appropriate fabric to make it. Those typewriters look just like the one I received for my birthday/Christmas gift way back in the late 70s.
If I have enough fabric leftover, I want to make a matching pencil case and new cover for my padfolio as well.

September 6, 2015 10:43 pmOh, duh, and I love the fabric! It’s perfect for a portfolio or anything else to do with writing. Like a typewriter cover. 😉 Mistakes are a lot easier to fix now, though.

September 6, 2015 10:42 pmThere are certainly times it would be convenient to have one of those old typewriters – when filling out forms, for instance! I got a Blue Royal portable for graduation in 1965. I wanted an IBM Selectric, but my parents didn’t want to spend that money on me. Darn! I bought my own years later, but that Royal typed a lot of papers, and my best friend’s husband’s dissertation, too.
