If you’ve been on a beach vacation chances are you might have spent some time collecting sea shells on your beach walks.
Or maybe you’re lucky enough to live close to the ocean and walking on the beach is a daily activity.
Ever since we lived in Maui, my happy place has always been the beach.
I love going for long walks, feeling the sun on my face, the wind in my hair and sand in my toes! The sound of the waves rolling calms my spirit in a way nothing else can.
And I love collecting shells brought in by those waves. Early morning, right after a storm is the best time to find an amazing variety of different shells in all kinds of sizes.
But after a while you start to wonder what to do with all those shells. So I’ve put together a list of beautiful sea shell home decor and gift ideas to inspire you.
Here’s a super simple idea I made using my own shell collection, some votive candles, a large glass bowl and 3 wine glasses I found at a local thrift store.
You might already have what you need right now in your china cabinet or sideboard. If not, be sure to check your local thrift store.
And if you need a few more shells to achieve the look you want… Amazon has these large sea shells or this collection of mixed beach of sea shells.
