As I’ve mentioned before, our oldest daughter is teaching in Shanghai. Her students are pre-k (3 to 4 years old) and she recently sent me some photos of two fun things she’s made for her classroom. So today, I’m going to be the proud mom and show them to all of you.
First up is this super cool puppet theatre.
She came up with the idea to use PVC pipe for the frame so that it could easily be taken apart and moved to different areas of the classroom or stored away when not needed. Then she went looking on the net to see if others might have had the same idea and could provide measurements. She found what she needed here.
She sewed the curtains for the theatre from fabric she bought while she was in Canada this past summer.
Next is this fun felt board she made of Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed.
Aren’t they adorable!
Here are a couple of close ups.
Wouldn’t this make a great birthday gift or Christmas gift for your favourite child? Our daughter created a tutorial complete with patterns for the monkeys, bed and pillows for me to share with you. Click the link below to be taken to the tutorial.
