Use them in place of placemats to hold bowls of soup and stew on cold winter days.
They’re a great way to use up leftover charm squares from other projects. Or a full pack of 40 will make 5 bowl cozies.
If you’ve got a scrap drawer or bin that is overflowing with scraps, cut a bunch of 5″ squares to make the cozies. Each cozy uses eight 5″ squares.
As I mentioned in the post, if the cozies are to be used in the microwave, please be sure to only use 100% cotton for the fabric, batting (made specifically for use in the microwave) and thread to prevent any fire hazard if the cozies are to be used in the microwave.
