Helping you create a home by hand.

A Couple of Finishes

In August, I made new travel laundry bags to replace our worn out laundry bags and they are being put to good use.  But since then, I got to thinking that there are going to be times in the future when I’m traveling alone and so I decided to make a laundry bag that can just stay in my suitcase ready to be used on those occasions.  I had a bit of fabric leftover that was just the right size to make a matching shoe bag.

If you look closely, you’ll notice that I sewed a line of stitching down the center of the shoe bag.

I can fit one high heeled shoe in each section to make sure the pair don’t rub against each other and create scuff marks or I can also fit one pair of sandals in each… which is what is pictured below.

I would be so pleased if you chose to share by clicking on one of the buttons below!

How clever! When we travel I am always looking around in the hotel room for a plastic bag for dirty clothes. I will have to make one of these to bring along. And the shoe bag is a great idea!

Love the shoe bag; much better than using a plastic grocery bag, which is what I have always done. LOL

Shoe bags are very useful – they can be used for more than just shoes – it’s a good idea to have a nice little stash of them for travel 🙂 I like your twofer bag – that’s a great idea!
