Do you like to have pretty floral centerpieces for your Christmas table but find there’s little money in the budget for them? One simple way to make them more affordable is to reuse holiday centerpieces from Christmases past to make beautiful inexpensive new ones to help keep your holiday decorating on budget.
The items pictured below were saved from a Christmas centerpiece that I was given several years ago.
A dozen roses (bought on sale,) a bouquet of mini chrysanthemums and some greenery from one of our small local flower shops were used to assemble a new Christmas center piece to put on the table Christmas Day.
I’ll be the first to admit that I’m no expert at flower arranging but I am pleased with how this turned out…
In addition to the flowers and greenery from the flower shop, I added some of the branch trimmings from our Christmas tree.
Next I filled the Candy Cane Vase I’d put together earlier.
The leftover roses, mums and greenery fill this Christmas vase that was another gift from years past.
With the addition of these flower arrangements, our Christmas decorating is complete.
Now that Dave is home, we’ll finish the Christmas baking and last minute gift shopping together.
I hope that your holiday plans are coming together and that amid the hustle and bustle, you’re taking time to feel the peace and joy of the season… whichever holiday it is that you are preparing to celebrate.

December 22, 2015 11:28 pmYour flower arrangement looks every bit as good as the one we spent a fortune on to send to our kids. Good for you! Enjoy your Christmas holiday – eat lots, have fun lots, but most of all love lots.
