From the time she hatched back in March 2013, Lexie the Hexie Turtle, her BFF Lanie and Rexie have been going on adventures with Dave and I.
Some of those I’ve shared here on the blog. You may remember The Hexie Turtles’ Snow Adventure. And of course last week they helped me bake cookies.
There are more fun posts to come featuring the Hexie Turtles but today I want to let you know that little people (and big people) everywhere can now have their very own Hexie Turtles to have adventures with.
I’m pleased announce that the pattern for Lexie the Hexie Turtle is available for sale in my Craftsy shop and my Blog’s shop.
Lexie the Hexie Turtle Pattern on Craftsy.
Lexie the Hexie Turtle Pattern on my blog’s shop.
The pattern features 29 full-color photos and photo collages illustrating each step of the instructions; from creating the hexie flower for the shell to constructing and stuffing the turtle’s head and body. A variety of options are shown for embroidering the eyes or making them from felt.
Lexie wanted to make sure that I showed her from all sides…
Also included is a bonus shell pattern piece for creating a turtle without the hexie flower.
We call her Daisy!
I want to thank my wonderful pattern testers Mary (who blogs at Needled Mom), Liz and Debbie. Their feedback and suggestions were spot on and helped to make sure the instructions are as clear and easy to follow as possible.
I’d also like to thank my ever patient husband Dave and our two daughters who proofread and offered their own suggestions for improvements.
I can’t tell you how much I appreciated each of you!
